Cult Epics Announces 25th Anniversary Screenings; “ANGST”, “DEATH BED”, More To Be Featured!Movies/TV,News Ken W. Hanley
Earlier this year, FANGORIA shared the news of Cult Epics’ Indiegogo Campaign, as the lauded boutique Blu-ray distributor attempts to bring more transgressive terror titles from around the world to high-definition. However, this campaign also falls on the label’s 25th anniversary, and in support of the ongoing campaign, Cult Epics has set up a series of screenings this month to bring back these shocking cinematic cult classics to the big screen!
Although there are reportedly more screenings to be announced, this exhibition series will kick off in Columbus, OH, with a screening of DEATH BED: THE BED THAT EATS at the Gateway Film Center on Wednesday, December 7th. The series then follows with a 35mm screening of SCHOOL OF THE HOLY BEAST at Alamo Drafthouse Ritz in Austin, TX, on Wednesday, December 14th. Cult Epics will then make their way to LA’s Cinefamily for a screening of Gerald Kargl’s ANGST on Thursday, December 15th.
Just in time for Christmas, this exhibition will go from coast-to-coast for a trio of screenings at Brooklyn, NY‘s Spectacle Theater, with a December 10th screening of MONDO WEIRDO as well as a double feature of NEKROMANTIK and ANGST on December 20th. Currently, the final date of the series will be a 35mm screening of IN A GLASS CAGE as Massacre en Xoco at Cineteca National in Mexico City on December 28th, but stay tuned in case more dates are added. Be sure to check out Cult Epics’ aforementioned Indiegogo, as well as their newer titles under their ReelGore Releasing label.
