Contest: Celebrate the work of Françoise Blanchard and win a copy of “THE LIVING DEAD GIRL”

LivingDeadGirlFeat

May 29th saw us lose a luminary of European horror with the passing of lovely French actress Françoise Blanchard. The beautiful performer worked with both the legendary Jess Franco (whose own legacy will feature heavily into our upcoming issue #325) in the bizarre REVENGE IN THE HOUSE OF USHER and of course French auteur Jean Rollin in several films, most notably starring as the doomed, tragic blood drinking ghoul in Rollin’s 1982 film THE LIVING DEAD GIRL. Among her other credits, she also provided the French dub voice for Shelly Duvall’s Olive Oyl in Altman’s POPEYE!

She was 61.

To celebrate the now immortal presence Blanchard will command in film, FANGORIA and Redemption/Kino Lorber would like to give five lucky readers a copy of the recent remastered Blu-ray release of this melancholy, erotic and disturbing THE LIVING DEAD GIRL.

To win, email chris@fangoria.com and include the film’s original French title in the subject line.

Winners will be selected at random. To find out more about Redemption/Kino Lorber’s extensive European horror library, head right here.
