“CONJURING” up a new title, art for Dan Walton’s “BIND”Movies/TV,News Michael Gingold
It’s been a long road through development and production for Dan Walton’s Canadian horror feature BIND, but now it’s finally slated for North American release—under a different, rather opportunistic title, with new key art you can see past the jump.
Green Apple Entertainment, which picked up the domestic release rights to the movie, has rechristened it AMERICAN CONJURING (funny, wasn’t THE CONJURING also American?). The Canadian debut is June 21, with a U.S. date to be confirmed. Walton directed the film with Dan Zachary, produced and came up with the story; Ken King scripted, and the cast includes Darren Matheson, Lynn Csontos, Mackenzie Mowat, Eliza Faria, Deborah Finkel, Morgan Lindsay Lane, Nathaniel Vass, Sierra Pitkin, Alisha-Jo Penney, Sasha Neuhaus, Shayleigh Pruzina, Natasha Davidson and Chloe Bear. The story centers on a family who move into an abandoned orphanage and are terrorized by the malevolent spirit of an old woman who haunts the place. You can track back through our previous coverage starting here and see the most recent trailer (bearing the BIND title) below the art.
