Clip: The Scary Thing About “DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES”

Did you ever believe you’d be intimidated by photoreal, motion captured apes? A brand new tease of this summer’s DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES has a voiceover outline what’s frightening about this new world of evolved primates, but its first image does the trick just fine.

In DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, “A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.”

Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke and  Keri Russell star. Matt Reeves, of LET ME IN and CLOVERFIELD directs. DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is out July 11.
