    “SCHISM” (Screamfest Movie Review)

    Los Angeles’ Screamfest has become known as a place for indie films that might otherwise struggle for screenings to not only have a theatrical showing, but also catch the eyes of Hollywood’s major distributors. This year, the talk of the festival has been Adam Gierasch’s SCHISM, which screened this past Saturday night to a packed house. This reviewer attended without knowing anything about the film or what to expect, and can now safely say that it’s shocking, disturbing and possibly one of the best indie films so far this year.

    Trailer: “DEVIL’S DUE”, The Satanic First Feature from “V/H/S” filmmakers Radio Silence

    I’ll never experience the joy of pregnancy, but I’m sure at some point all expectant mothers feel as if they’re harboring the antichrist within, huh? Such is the reason we continue to tell these stories  of the fear of oncoming motherhood and unleashing something awful unto the world.     Director & DP go Inside the Coven with commentary on “AMERICAN HORROR STORY”

Providing the series with immense, dizzying, often beautiful style, they meet the nuttiest places the series is willing to go and complement perfectly. It’s great then, that they’ve dived into their choices in a mini-featurette covering COVEN’s premiere episode “Bitchcraft.” Discussing not only their strong visual decisions, but SUSPIRIA influence and how they achieve such on the tight schedule that is television production, the six-minute “Inside the Coven” is great viewing for fans and admirers.
