Actress Sheila Vand, best known for her starring role in vampire sleeper A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, will be attending FANGORIA’s free screening of Josh C. Waller’s CAMINO this coming Monday, February 29th, at 7 p.m. This special showing will be held at the Helen Mills Theater (137-139 West 26th Street). Vand, who plays Marianna in the film, will join director Waller at the show and take part in a Q&A.

The Fango screening of CAMINO will be a free show; to obtain tickets, send an e-mail to fangoriascreening@gmail.com. You must list “CAMINO” as your subject line and provide us your full name. Offer is good for you and one guest. Names will be checked at the door. Offer is first come, first served, and we will confirm your rsvp. Seating is not guaranteed, however. This exclusive event is presented by our pals at XLrator Media, who releases CAMINO to theaters on March 4th and iTunes and VOD on March 8th.

Scripted by Daniel (BELIEVERS) Noah, here’s the official synopsis for festival fave CAMINO:

“Set in 1985, war photographer Avery Taggert (Zoë Bell, Tarantino regular from DEATH PROOF and THE HATEFUL EIGHT) has built a solid career with her stark and honest imagery, all the while remaining emotionally distant from her subjects. When she embeds in the jungles of Colombia with a squad of missionaries led by a beloved and charismatic Spaniard known as ‘El Guero’ (Nacho Vigalondo of TIMECRIMES), she finds herself in the middle of a conflict as violent as any she’s photographed. One night, she happens upon El Guero committing a heinous atrocity, capturing the vile act on film, an image with the potential to discredit and destroy El Guero. Knowing this brilliant psychopath will employ every tactic at his disposal to destroy that photograph—and the photographer who took it—Avery flees into the harsh jungle with nothing but the camera hanging around her neck to escape from missionaries twisted into violent guerrillas by the madman intent on destroying all enemies.”

Check out these rave reviews for CAMINO:

“Gritty and smart with hard-hitting action. Zoë Bell absolutely nails it in her best role to date.”—Austin Chronicle

“Incredible. Stunning. The influences of Michael Mann and William Friedkin are felt throughout.”—Birth.Movies.Death.
