Caesar Rides Out; New “DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES” Poster

For many, the most exciting prospect of the upcoming DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is less the fact that this 45+ year-old series is continuing (and is good, at that) and more “Apes on Horses.” And that’s what we’ve got here. Triumphant, machine gun-wielding, horse-riding, humanity-thrashing primates.

Directed by Matt Reeves, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES stars Andy Serkis, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke and Gary Oldman. The film finds “a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.”

I imagine you saw the boss new poster above. DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is out July 11. [IGN]
