Baltimore! The Troma-centric Pity Party is on this weekendMovies/TV,News Samuel Zimmerman
Mondo Baltimore and its first Pity Party, presented by Dr. Acula and Ghoulinda, are spending the weekend highlighting the trash, toxicity and charm of Troma.
Getting underway tonight at the Autograph Playhouse (9 W. 25th St), Pity Party is screening a host of low budget terror for two days with Lloyd Kaufman & co. the honorees. On that end, screenings include last year’s cult-in-the-making THE TAINT, a special preview of the upcoming RETURN TO NUKE ‘EM HIGH and the always beloved THE TOXIC AVENGER. Also in store is a block of shorts, the Baltimore premiere of BIRDEMIC 2: THE RESSURECTION and DOOMSDAY COUNTY. A full weekend pass for this much karo syrup and green waste is only $25, with day passes and single screening tickets also an option.
