  • Trailer: DTV Action Heroes Lundgren and Adkins Team for Monster Movie “LEGENDARY”

Dolph Lundgren previously teamed with Scott Adkins, the noble star of a contemporary wave of better-than-expected DTV action (NINJA: SHADOW OF A TEAR) on the strange, savage UNIVERSAL SOLIDER: DAY OF RECKONING. Here, they meet again as adversaries who must take on a large, aquatic predator in LEGENDARY, and hopefully get a leg up on the current glut of poorly constructed, overly winking monster movies in the process.

  • Final “APES” Trailer: In Which Caesar Fires A Machine Gun From Atop a Horse

Again, there are many reasons to look forward to DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. Its unexpectedly good predecessor, for one. The rest are laid out beautifully in this final theatrical trailer. • “DRACULA” Perched In New Poster for Icon’s Origin Story

This October, Universal brings a new iteration of arguably its most classic monster to life. Luke Evans stars in DRACULA UNTOLD, which aims to be an origin story of the Transylvanian prince who would become the iconic vampire, Count Dracula. Our first look at the film comes in the form of a poster that’s very much in line with modern tentpole filmmaking: brooding, grey and without much context, could very well be for a superhero.
