Trailer: Summer Camp Initiation Horror, “SOLO”

Perhaps for Isaac Cravit and his first feature SOLO (the premiere title from Shock Till You Drop’s new distribution banner), it’s a happy coincidence that the East Coast remains in something of a perpetual Indian Summer at the moment. The idyllic, picturesque camp on display, and the not-so-idyllic ordeal its lead Gillian goes through there still feel in reach. Then again, is summer camp horror ever out of season for admirers?

Q&A: Director Jacob Vaughan on Good Puppetry and “BAD MILO”

In BAD MILO, director Jacob Vaughan implicitly understands that our highest enjoyment of this tale of the titular intestinal demon and the havoc he wreaks would come with strings—or rods—attached. That is to say, BAD MILO works on a level of madcap horror/comedy thanks to all of the arguments we’ve seen in support of old school practical FX. Milo the demon is there, and so are his puppeteers Frank Langley and Bob Mano, bringing him in and out of Ken Marino’s butt to alternately bite dicks and cuddle close. FANGORIA spoke with Vaughan about the process of bringing Bad, and Good, Milo to life.

Robert Oppenheimer’s words about witnessing the first detonation of a nuclear device in 1945.

“AHS: COVEN” aims to educate with Voodoo featurette

As with the anticipation of AMERICAN HORROR STORY’s second season ASYLUM, COVEN has been preceded by a deluge of atmospheric, aesthetically-thrilling teasers that have culminated in a main titles sequence packed with the sort of black magick eeriness witches and their rituals evoke in our minds. This year, however, the main subjects of AMERICAN HORROR STORY are rooted in more real-world religious practices. To that end, both for context and an introduction to the world COVEN takes place in, a brief featurette attempts to educate the viewer on Voodoo, its mystic air and elegance, and dispel some of the more negative perceptions.
