  • Blood in the Snow 2014 Announces the Winners of “The Bloodies”

    What started off as a fest created on a whim by Fango contributor Kelly Michael Stewart, the Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival has evolved into one of the most important genre film showcases in the country. A must attend for film fans and a showcase that treats its filmmakers like royalty, the fest just wrapped its third amazing year, with record breaking turnouts and a wild selection of diverse and dangerous films. Last night,  BITS had its closing night party at The Marquis of Granby club and handed out 2014’s The Bloodies.

    There’s one person you have to thank for the continued longevity of all your favorite franchises. No, this person doesn’t reside within the impenetrable fortress of Hollywood.     FANGORIA will be hosting a free screening of the explosive comedic thriller THE MULE—the latest from SAW/THE CONJURING co-creator Leigh Whannell—in New York City on Monday, November 24 at 7 p.m. This special showing will be held at the Cinema Village (22 East 12th Street, off University Place). Directed by Tony Mahony and Angus Sampson and inspired by a true story, THE MULE stars Hugo (THE MATRIX) Weaving, Angus (INSIDIOUS) Sampson, John (FRINGE) Noble, Ewen (DEAD EUROPE) Leslie and Whannell, who co-wrote the offbeat crime film with Sampson and Jaime Browne.
