    FANGORIA debuts new online shorts portal “SCREAMERS”!

    Fangoria.com is proud to announce the launching of our new short film initiative SCREAMERS, which brings you exclusive internet premieres of shorts by both established and emerging voices in genre cinema.

    In partnership with some of the genre festival circuit’s most distinctive and uncompromising curators, each month we’ll bring you the online debut of a new short film – from the subtly sophisticated to the terrifyingly transgressive, these shorts will challenge and provoke you in all the best ways.

    First up:

    March 13: Eric Shapiro’s MAIL ORDER (based on a short story by Jack Ketchum)

    April 1: Rebekah McKendry’s THE DUMP (Winner, Best Director, Viscera Film Festival)

    Canada! Cineplex Entertainment and Raven Banner Launch New Horror Series “Sinister Cinema”

    Cineplex Entertainment’s Front Row Centre Events and Raven Banner have teamed up to bring Canadian genre fans a chance to see some of the biggest titles of last year’s fest circuit on the big screen with their new monthly series Sinister Cinema, kicking things off with Don Coscarelli’s JOHN DIES AT THE END, Rodrigo Gudiño’s THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ROSALIND LEIGH, The Soska Sisters’ AMERICAN MARY and Ryuhei Kitamura’s NO ONE LIVES. The films will be playing in multiplexes across Canada starting March 27th (full list of venues below).

    Our first offering in the SCREAMERS program, MAIL ORDER, comes from a short story by one of the masters of literary terror and suspense, Jack Ketchum (THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, RED, THE LOST and THE WOMAN). Written and directed by RULE OF THREE’s Eric Shapiro, MAIL ORDER follows a Wall Street trader who is obsessed with snuff films and thinks he sees an old girlfriend starring in one. The movie toplines Lee Schall and Cerris Morgan-Moyer and was produced by Rhoda Jordan. Ian McGlocklin-Sinclair shot the minifeature, with editing by Randy Stoudt. Please note that MAIL ORDER contains nudity and is recommended for mature audiences.
