“ATROCIOUS” team set to spend “21 DAYS” in a haunted house; first poster

The creators of the Spanish found-footage chiller ATROCIOUS (pictured above) have a new project ready to roll; read on for details and a first look at the poster for 21 DAYS.

ATROCIOUS writer/director Fernando Barreda Luna and producer Jessica Villegas are teaming up to produce 21 DAYS, written and to be directed by feature first-timer Kathleen Behun. It’s another handheld-horror piece, and the synopsis goes like this: “Three filmmakers embark on a paranormal challenge by barricading themselves in a house so haunted, no family has been able to live in more than 21 days, in order to film the supernatural phenomena which presumably occur. But nothing can prepare them for the evil that lies in wait. There are some places so dark, so evil, where no human—no living thing—should dwell…”

“The script is very creepy and full of suspense,” Luna says. “I think we are crafting something very perverse.” Preproduction is underway and the Tortilla Flats Productions/Nopal Army Productions collaboration, with plans to shoot soon and complete the movie this fall. A website (just a homepage for the moment) has opened here.
