Ashley Greene-starrer “KRISTY” goes straight to cable for U.S. debut

It seems like a Lifetime that we’ve been hearing about the Weinstein Co. chiller that started out as KRISTY, then became RANDOM and SATANIC, opened in some overseas territories and is finally set to be unveiled Stateside…on the small screen.

KRISTY, which was shot about three years ago, will debut on the Lifetime network Saturday, October 17 at 8 p.m., with an encore showing that night at midnight. Directed by DONKEY PUNCH’s Oliver Blackburn from a script by Anthony Jaswinski, the movie stars the TWILIGHT films’ Ashley Greene, Haley Bennett from THE HAUNTING OF MOLLY HARTLEY and THE HOLE, Lucas Till, Chris Coy, Mike Seal, Lucius Falick and the SINISTER duo’s James Ransone. The brief synopsis: “When a college girl who is alone on campus over the Thanksgiving break is targeted by a group of outcasts, she must conquer her deepest fears to outwit them and fight back.” Check out a trailer for KRISTY below.
