Lost in the Catacombs; “AS ABOVE, SO BELOW” Trailer Debuts

The Dowdle brothers, who previously brought horror fans THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES, QUARANTINE and DEVIL return to the POV aesthetic of the former two with AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. A descent into the historical Paris catacombs, which contain the remains of millions, the film aims to trap its ensemble with more than just bones, but their own closet skeleteons as well.

In AS ABOVE, SO BELOW a team of  “urban archaeologists” and explorers venture into the catacombs and seemingly lose their minds in the process. The trailer is awash in bones, madness and past misdeeds come back to haunt those losing their minds. While the found footage angle may be disheartening to many, a good bit of claustrophobic psychosis just might be on hand.

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW is written by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle, and directed by the former. Legendary and Universal release the film August 15.
