Announcement: FANGORIA welcomes “HANNIBAL” creator/writer Bryan Fuller as Special Guest Editor

In FANGO’s lengthy, near 36 year long history, we’ve thus far had only a handful of folks serving as editor-in-chief: Bob Martin, Tony Timpone and most recently, Chris Alexander. But now, for the first time, we’re bringing in a special guest EIC to oversee the production of our upcoming issue…and believe us, this cat is no slouch!

FANGORIA is thrilled to welcome iconic genre television writer and innovator Bryan Fuller to the macabre mothership where he’ll serve as the editor-in-chief of our upcoming (and mind-blowing) FANGORIA #343.

To those not-in-the-know, Fuller is the celebrated, Emmy Award-nominated writer and producer behind such shows as STAR TREK: VOYAGER, DEAD LIKE ME, PUSHING DAISIES, HEROES and many, many other beloved programs; he also wrote the underrated 2002 TV adaptation of Stephen King’s CARRIE (starring MAY’s Angela Bettis) and is the mind and pen behind the gruesomely clever and critically acclaimed cult NBC series HANNIBAL, the expansion of the world of Thomas Harris’ malevolent character, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, which is about to slide into its third season.

Fuller is a mad genius with an encyclopedic knowledge of  horror history and one of the most revered and important artists working in television today. And he’s also a FANGORIA freak, a life-long lover of our legendary magazine and brand.

Says Fuller:

“I was 9 years old when FANGORIA first captured my heart with Godzilla on its cover and I am fairly certain I was holding issue #7 when my testicles dropped. FANGO has been a staple of my adolescence, my adulthood, my life and it is a genuine dream come true and an honest thrill to be guest editing issue #343 this summer.”

Working alongside Chris Alexander, managing editor Michael Gingold, web editor Ken Hanley and the rest of the FANGO staff, Fuller has concocted what will no doubt be the wildest, weirdest and most collectible FANGO issue in years; a mag packed to the peak with esoteric content, starting with a massive, in-depth look at the third season of HANNIBAL and all of its complex moving parts and supporting features curated by Fuller, including an appreciation of Tony Scott’s stylish vampire classic THE HUNGER, a look at classic horror movie novelizations, a sneak peek at the impending remake of Stephen King’s IT, features on killer animal flicks, meals prepared and served within the pages of Bram Stoker’s DRACULA and so much more…

Bryan Fuller’s FANGORIA #343 will unleash late June.

Subscribe today and start your journey into FANGO with this amazing issue. Trust us… you do NOT want to miss this.
