Animatronic baby terrifies New Yorkers for “DEVIL’S DUE”

Being it’s so delightful to watch folks jump in terror that doesn’t threaten you in any way, this promotional prank for the upcoming DEVIL’S DUE will surely put a mean smile on your face.

It seems DEVIL’S DUE directors Radio Silence (V/H/S) teamed with an FX crew and their animatronic demonic baby to roam the streets of New York and frighten winter weary pedestrians. The result, as you may expect, is plenty of shrieks (except for one unperturbed city employee who you know has seen fucking everything), especially when the remote controlled carriage starts roving with aggression.

Whether we’ll see this terrible infant, or anything like it in DEVIL’S DUE itself, is not yet known; we’re looking into this situation and will have more to report on shortly. The film, about a couple whose hazy night on their honeymoon yields a most unusual pregnancy, is out this Friday. Keep an eye on this site for a talk with star Zach Gilford, and pick up Fango #330, on sale now, for a feature on Radio Silence.
