Beyond that, an AIP Oddities selection at Anthology later in February will include showings of Ivan Reitman’s horror/comedy CANNIBAL GIRLS, starring Eugene Levy, on Saturday, February 20 at 9 p.m., Friday, February 26 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 28 at 6:30 p.m. And then, a Blaxploitation lineup in March features the classic BLACULA on Friday, March 11 at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 15 at 9:15 p.m. and Saturday, March 19 at 5 p.m.; the voodoo/zombie chiller SUGAR HILL on Sunday, March 13 at 4:45 p.m., Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 19 at 9 p.m.; and the possesson opus J.D.’s REVENGE on Sunday, March 13 at 9 p.m., Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 20 at 9 p.m.

In the midst of all that, Anthology will host its second Totally 80s Movie Freak Out on Saturday, February 13, starting at 12:30 p.m. This six-movie celebration of the decade of excess is also all-35mm, including two films that have never been available on DVD. They’re keeping the titles a surprise, but here are their hints: “We’ve got Gene Simmons at his most monstrous! We’ve got three times the Wings Hauser, for three times the action! We’ve got the greatest giant monster movie ever made! The most mind-bending movie ever directed by the winner of two Pulitzer Prizes! A buddy cop movie full of fast cars, big guns, and hot guitars! And a no-holds-barred, one-dark-night descent into urban squalor, vice, and sheer sweaty-palmed depravity that’ll make your family pack up and move to the suburbs!”

Sounds good to us. For more info on all these movies, head over to the Anthology website.
