“24 EXPOSURES” to get U.S. theatrical/VOD exposureMovies/TV,News Michael Gingold
The creators of YOU’RE NEXT turn murder into art on screen in 24 EXPOSURES, which premiered this past summer at Montreal’s Fantasia festival and has now been set for Stateside release.
IFC Films gave Fango the scoop that it has picked up 24 EXPOSURES, for release on its IFC Midnight label. Written and directed by filmmaker/YOU’RE NEXT co-star Joe Swanberg, the movie stars NEXT director Adam Wingard and scripter Simon Barrett as, respectively, a photographer who stages murder and suicide tableaux for his camera and a detective investigating real killings, whose paths cross when a model is slain. The cast also includes V/H/S’ Helen Rogers and Sophia Takal, Caroline White and Mike Brune. IFC will release 24 EXPOSURES in select theaters and on cable VOD, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox, PlayStation, Google Play, SundanceNow and other digital on-demand platforms January 24 (appropriately enough). See our chat with Swanberg about the film here.
