“10 CLOVERFIELD LANE” Super Bowl ad teases a creature

Does the city-smashing monster from CLOVERFIELD make a reappearance in the upcoming 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE? There are hints dropped in the Super Bowl spot for the sequel that you can see past the jump.

Produced by J.J. Abrams and directed by Dan Trachtenberg from a script by Josh Campell, Matt Stuecken and Damien Chazelle, 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE opens in theaters and IMAX March 11 from Paramount. The studio has been cagey in revealing whether this is another giant-creature feature or showcases a different kind of fantastical menace, mostly focusing on the human threat posed by John Goodman’s character, a survivalist who brings a young woman (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) to his underground bunker after she’s been in a car accident and holds her captive there. “Something’s coming,” he intones, and we’ll find out soon what that “something” is… Visit 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE’s official websiteFacebook pageTwitter and Instagram.
