 Sepultura without the Cavalera brothers has been a tough sell for many despite the noble efforts of Andreas Kisser, Paolo, Jr., Derrick Green and current drummer John Dolabella. Fortunately for Kisser, his name commands respect not only in Sepultura, but also his side projects Sexoturica, Asesino and now Hail! the latter also featuring Tim “Ripper” Owens, Paul Bostaph and David Ellefson.

 Can you see this bill in the making? The Melvins have Big Business. Now Clutch, Fireball Ministry, CKY and Fu Manchu have a stake in the sludge rock supergroup The Company Band. As the Melvins have recently toured a number of times under both themselves and Big Business on the same gig, you can picture a tag-team tour with any of the aforementioned home base groups bringing along The Company Band for a joint road haunt with Buzz Osborne and his drone posse. Assuredly it would need to be tagged The Corporate Takeover Tour…

 Massachusetts’ masters of mayhem, The Red Chord, have just released their latest (and by far their greatest) CD entitled FED THROUGH THE TEETH MACHINE, a ravenous rampage of raw hatred directed at the trendy bands that litter the music scene. Their fourth full-length release showcases their uncompromising song writing style which sets them miles above the rest with their highly technical guitar riffs, insane drumming, and ferocious layered vocals.
 Australian rockers Airbourne are pleased to announce NO GUTS, NO GLORY as the title of their second album for Roadrunner Records. The album is set for release on February 23, 2010. NO GUTS, NO GLORY was recorded in Chicago with noted producer Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind). The band relocated from their shared home in Warrnambool and moved into K’s spacious studio to record the album.
 Few (if any) radio shows could ever claim to challenge the legendary status of the late John Peel's THE PEEL SESSIONS on the BBC's Radio 1. Having first discovered them myself while sifting through the import CD racks of several long-gone indie record shops throughout the midwest, these little gems were live performances from some of rocks biggest names along with many underground legends and true sonic innovators.
 The metalcore and screamo explosion of the early 2000's brought with it an onslaught of bands that disappeared almost as quickly as they arrived. The few innovators that stuck around have done so by means of evolution rather than extinction, a necessity to avoid becoming lost in a sea of sound-a-like bands with similar vibes and inferior songwriting. One such band is undoubtedly Atreyu, who first gained notoriety through their 2002 album SUICIDE NOTES AND BUTTERFLY KISSES, which would later see a re-issue and go onto sell over 240,000 copies.
