Yesterday, TWILIGHT devotees got the good news that Stephenie Meyer has written a novella about Bree Turner, one of the new characters in the upcoming ECLIPSE. Today, for your viewing pleasure, we have three new ECLIPSE pics. Sorry, no shots of Taylor Lautner’s abs.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this summer, Lewis Teague’s ALLIGATOR is a brilliant example of the post-JAWS eco-horror subgenre where a natural threat becomes the enemy of the people. This was a successful and much-loved breed of cinema during the ’70s and early ’80s, as all matter of beasts preyed on mankind; from a bear in GRIZZLY to dogs in THE PACK to a killer whale in ORCA, Mother Nature running amok was a surefire way of getting in the crowds and pleasing horror fans everywhere.

While BROKEN and THE DEVIL’S CHAIR director Adam Mason has been working on LUSTER, he and frequent collaborator Andrew Howard have completed another film on the sly, PIG.

Word just came down from the ALL ABOUT EVIL camp that the movie has slated its world premiere for San Francisco, the city where it was lensed. It’ll be shown as part of the San Francisco International Film Festival, accompanied by a “Spooktacular” live event.

HBO is releasing a poster a week until TRUE BLOOD’s third season premieres June 13. Check out the second below!

Let the hunt begin. Somewhere in between THE DESCENT, JAWS and DELIVERANCE, the upcoming French film PREY takes a family on the verge of explosion into a dark forest where mysterious creatures seems to be out of control.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment sent along full details on its DVD and Blu-ray releases of THE WOLFMAN, director Joe Johnston’s reinvention of the classic monster movie starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins. We got ahold of cover art for both versions as well.

One of the rare sequels that nearly equals the terror of its predecessor, Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza’s [REC] 2 is getting one thing their previous [REC] did not: U.S. big-screen play, courtesy of Magnolia Pictures’ Magnet Releasing, beginning July 9. But it hits theaters in the UK first, on May 28, and you can see a restricted trailer for that release after the jump.

We just got ahold of the cover art!

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced a DVD date for a lycanthropicture called WOLF MOON. Genre fans may know the movie better under its shooting title of DARK MOON RISING—no relation to the recent disc release BLOOD MOON RISING or the Tommy Lee Jones-starrer BLACK MOON RISING.

In part one (see here) of my report detailing my trip to FANGORIA’s New York City offices, I told you how I, this 19-year-old Saddleback Community College student, made the trek from California to the Big Apple to meet the staff of the world’s longest-running horror magazine. Little did I know my class project would evolve into an almost full day of fun…

[Note: This, an older entry of my blog, Terrifyingly Gnarly, was posted a good while ago on the previous Fango site. From time to time, I'm going to re-up some of my favorite pieces along with the new ones. Hope you enjoy this revisiting this enhanced version (more videos and pictures) of my interview with Ace Norton.]

“Give me a bucket of blood and a camera and I’m good to go!”

Who is Ace Norton? Someone who truly fits the description of Terrifyingly Gnarly, that’s who.

SUCK may be one of a number of independent vampire comedies to make the scene lately, but the Canadian production has a difference—it’s actually funny, as well as occasionally bloody enough to sate fans displeased with the anemic likes of the TWILIGHT movies. The movie recently played the Museum of Modern Art as part of its Canadian Front series, where Fango got a chance to chat with its writer/director/star Rob Stefaniuk (pictured).
