A prequel to ALIEN has no doubt ruffled the feathers of most genre fans and no matter what you think of the third and fourth entries, the AVP flicks can only be considered the desecration of the iconic monsters. When Ridley Scott (one of the greatest living filmmakers, who’s still making great films) officially signed on to direct the prequel a hefty amount of faith was injected into the idea of a new entry, but we haven’t heard much since then. Thankfully, Scott shed some light on the subject, read on for what he had to say!

It’s cheesy, it’s sexy, it’s lovable…it’s horrible. It has sets made out of Fun Fur and more silliness than you can shake an $800 designer stick at. It’s the groovy 1968 Roger Vadim-directed sci-fi sex romp BARBARELLA, and if you haven’t seen it, I recommend you put on your best smoking jacket, shake a martini, kick back and enjoy the supersexy swinging saga that awaits.

Director Jeffery Scott Lando got in touch with Fango to talk up his latest flick, the survival chiller THIRST (not to be confused with last year’s Korean vampire drama). Actually, “chiller” is the wrong term, since the movie (for which Lando also sent some exclusive photos) is more concerned with deadly heat.

Bill Bennett’s movie about a young couple plagued by a ghost on a remote island is playing Cannes next month (and releasing in Australia later this year) and two UNINHABITED one-sheets have been released on the web. Check them out below!

We thought THE OATMEAL MAN was the title of the day, but this one has it beat—and it’s written, directed and produced by identical twins! Take a look at the trailer below!

No, this isn’t a biopic about Wilford Brimley, but rather Sean Gordon’s horror comedy about a high-fiber killer. Seriously.

New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival just got underway, and it’s offering up an intriguing range of international genre fare. In conjunction with the fest, Fango is offering free tickets to four of those movies this weekend.

After Dark Films gave Fango a sneak peek at the poster for THE TASK, one of the eight films in its lineup of After Dark Originals co-productions with Lionsgate and Syfy. The company has also released international one-sheets for PROWL and RE-KILL and the overall series, and you can see ‘em all below.
