FANGORIA’s FrightFest (see previous item here and go to www.fangoriafrightfest.com for more details) is nearing its summer debut, and one of the films yearning for your votes to win a theatrical release in the on-line sweepstakes is the action/horror mash-up PIG HUNT, directed by genre vet Jim Isaac (JASON X, SKINWALKERS, THE HORROR SHOW). While FANGORIA RADIO remains currently on hiatus, the folks at Sirius XM Radio have been running some of our best and bloodiest shows every Friday night (heard 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. EST, with a second broadcast right after), hosted by Debbie Rochon and Tony Timpone. Tonight’s show highlights:

Yesterday, Shawn Hatosy joined the cast of DEXTER’s season five. On Tuesday, Julia Stiles’ rumored role on the Showtime series was confirmed. Today, another cast addition has been announced.

You’ve probably been following the plethora of news items on this website in regards to our FANGORIA FrightFest program (see initial announcement here). Right? If not, please do. I gave up my job—editing the mag for nearly 25 years—to help bring these horror movies to you. The FANGORIA FrightFest is our version of After Dark’s 8 Films to Die For and Ghost House Underground. Luckily, as I’ve found out, there are plenty of good genre films to go around.

Rodar y Rodar, the Spanish outfit behind the supernatural hit THE ORPHANAGE, is getting back into ghostly territory. The company is gearing up to shoot a $7-million fright film called EL HOMBRE HUECO (THE HOLLOW MAN—no relation to Paul Verhoeven’s invisibility thriller).

It’s a tough call which cable horror series is getting more publicity: AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD or HBO’s TRUE BLOOD. If you don’t know it by now, TRUE BLOOD’s third season debuts Sunday night, and the 12th and final promo one-sheet has been released on the web.

Writer/director Adam Bhala Lough (pictured) has shared some more details about SPLATTER SISTERS, his upcoming “Skinemax”-inspired horror film starring Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood that we first told you about here.

Film4 FrightFest 2010 is getting ready to shock the UK, running Thursday-Monday, August 26-30 at London’s Empire Cinema in Leicester Square. And the organizers just sent along word that two of the year’s most anticipated fright features will be part of the fun, along with their creators.

In news that undoubtedly surprised no one, Summit Entertainment confirmed yesterday that BREAKING DAWN, the film version of Stephenie Meyer’s final novel in THE TWILIGHT SAGA, is going to be a double act.

Gold Circle Films hasn't even gotten rolling on THE HAUNTING IN GEORGIA, its follow-up to the box-office hit THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT, but it's already developing a third film in the franchise. And this time, the ghosts are going to Gotham.

The 2010 New York Asian Film Festival is preparing to explode across the city starting Friday, June 25, and two of its featured movies with the most Fangorian interest are MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD and ALIEN VS. NINJA. Thanks to the good folks at the festival, we’ve got two pairs of tickets to each flick to give away!
