Love leads to some pretty disturbing behavior in CORPSING, a grisly new film from 72nd Street Films. Jump past the jump for a look at the trailer and exclusive photos and poster art.

Since the launch of his viral marketing campaign for THE LAST EXORCISM, which favored post-viewing tweets from horror fans over professional critical consensus, Eli Roth’s philosophy as a producer has championed the democratization of film spectatorship. That attention to a multiplicity of voices has informed the bulk of his moviemaking process as well, including his stint co-writing and producing RZA’s directorial debut THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS (out on theatrical-cut and unrated DVDs and Blu-ray/DVD combo from Universal Studios Home Entertainment today). Fango spoke with Roth about the ins and outs of that process during his work in China for RZA’s dream project, and the themes and cultural influences that pervade his filmography.

ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES was in development in February 2008, announced by 20th CENTURY FOX to be considered a true sequel to the 1986 classic ALIENS film, despite its new medium. Fast forward four years and numerous delays later, and the release of the highly anticipated title is finally here offering up a drop in-and-out cooperative multiplayer campaign, fun multiplayer modes featuring the continuing battles of space Marines against the Xenomorphs. Gearbox Software, having promised to stay as true to the game's predecessors as possible, as they're huge fans of the ALIENS franchise as well, have delivered something great that will have you hooked for hours on end before saying, "Game over man! Game Over!"

FANGORIA's Chris Alexander  delves into one of the all time greats.

[Actress and sometime FANGORIA contributor Jenny Wright (PINK FLOYD: THE WALL, NEAR DARK, I MADMAN) had the unique chance to meet up with writer and subversive film oracle Kier-La Janisse in LA last week,  to discuss her new book HOUSE OF PSYCHOTIC WOMEN. So moved was Wright by Kier-La’s critically lauded book, that she penned this exclusive essay for us. Have a read…]

As 2012 drew to a close and many looked forward with lists of the “most anticipated” variety, I found myself thinking what I was most interested to see in 2013 were the many pictures that would come with the continued growth of Artsploitation Films. New, but arriving with impression and style, the boutique distribution company has already run a gamut of Japanese gangs (HARD ROMANTICKER), wild Serbian youth (CLIP) and intensely engrossing, psychosexual sci-fi (VANISHING WAVES). They’ve just begun their dip into full-on horror though (recently nabbing the Chilean HIDDEN IN THE WOODS), and have given Fango the first word of three new international titles coming our way.

George A. Romero’s NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD has been remade, officially or unofficially, countless times, almost always with disappointing—if not disastrous—results. But Douglas Schulze’s MIMESIS (on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow from Anchor Bay) adapts that classic in original and intriguing ways. FANGORIA spoke to the Michigan-based director about his horror homage.

The new movie posits that Mary Shelley’s classic novel was actually based on a real scientific experiment gone wrong, and will be available for big-screen consumption early next month. Read on for venue details.

See the ranting, anti-establishment manifesto of masked director Makinov and then wonder how such a bland film was the result.

Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich left a deep imprint on not only history, but modern society and the movies. But while some filmmakers have been inclined toward the dramatic and political aspects of Nazism, others have opted to poke fun at the Führer’s mad ideology—revealing, beyond the surface silliness, more interesting ideas than in some serious titles. One such feature is Finnish director Timo Vuorensola’s IRON SKY, which just had its new Director’s Cut screened at the Berlin International Film Festival.
