Eli Roth's next producing endeavor, the first English-language film from Chilean director Nicolas Lopez, is apparently four weeks into shooting and now starring the HOSTEL filmmaker, and Selena Gomez. 

In a report by Deadline about AFTERSHOCK's generating a host of buzz with distributors, it was revealed that the film centered on an island-bound asylum from which its inmates escape following an earthquake, and that Roth has taken the lead. Disney starlet Selena Gomez will also feature in the film, apparently filming a cameo while on tour in South America. 

Discussing his relationship with Lopez, Roth said he expects AFTERSHOCK to be "very scary, very intense, and very real."
