The film may be Mia-less, but the character's brother is now embodied. 

Variety reports that Shiloh Fernandez, of DEADGIRL and RED RIDING HOOD fame has taken the male lead in Fede Alvarez's upcoming EVIL DEAD remake. Fernandez seems to be playing David who, along with sister Mia (effectively the new Ash in the tale) and a group of friends, convenes at the now legendary cabin for an intervention and happen upon the Necronomicon, setting off all sorts of evil.

In other news, director Fede Alvarez tweeted this snapshot of "the path to hell," which is essentially the road to the cabin, one would assume. EVIL DEAD is scheduled to be out April 12, 2013.
