The international, multidirector horror anthology THE THEATRE BIZARRE has been scaring and grossing out audiences in festivals all over the world for the past several months, and is now set to do so on a wider scale. It’s been officially targeted for U.S. theatrical release, by a company that’s also planning a follow-up feature.

W2 Media, which is handling worldwide sales on THEATRE BIZARRE, announced today that it will release the movie on Stateside screens in January. It will also co-finance and distribute THE THEATRE BIZARRE 2, with the original producing team from Severin Films and Metaluna Productions back on board and a January 2013 release targeted. No word yet on which filmmakers may be involved, but we’ll keep you posted. THE THEATRE BIZARRE features short contributions by Douglas Buck, Richard Stanley, Buddy Giovinazzo, Karim Hussain, producer David Gregory, Tom Savini and Jeremy Kasten; you can see the trailer below, check out the Facebook page (where the new poster seen here was posted the other day), read our review and look for interviews with Buck and Hussain in Fango #309, on sale in December.
