Yes, you read that right. Two of Britain’s most respected Shakspearean-trained actors are about to jump into the undead genre, with the wonderfully titled horror/comedy THE CURSE OF THE BUXOM STRUMPET.

Screen Daily reports that the duo will be joined by THE X FILES’ Gillian Anderson and Mark Williams in the film, to be directed by Matthew Butler from a script he wrote with Tori Hart. An extension of Butler’s short E’GAD, ZOMBIES!, which also starred McKellen (pictured above), BUXOM STRUMPET is set in a seaside town that gets hit with zombie fever. Butler and Hart are also producing the movie, which is set to shoot in Scotland later this year; according to the project’s webpage, McKellen has already completed his scenes and narration, due to his upcoming commitments to THE HOBBIT.
