Ordinarily, the debuts of new posters for movies as eagerly
awaited as DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK take place on-line. But cool new art for
the Guillermo del Toro-produced chiller appeared in The New York Times this
past Sunday with no corresponding Internet appearance that we could find since,
so we decided to scan it for you, and you can see it below.
Though the poster says August 12, distributor FilmDistrict shifted the release date to Aug. 26. Troy Nixey directed the update of the classic ’70s TV movie, in which a little girl (Bailee Madison) discovers diminutive demons lurking in her new house. DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK’s official website can be found here.
