We last updated you here about Jason Horton’s independent creature feature MONSTERS IN THE WOODS, and now he has given us the premiere of his initial trailer, which you can see after the jump.

MONSTERS IN THE WOODS is about a group of filmmakers who intend to shoot cheap creature footage in a forest, and wind up encountering the real thing. The preview “is the very first thing I’ve cut for the movie,” he tells Fango. “I started the cut of the actual movie right after finishing this trailer. Everything is coming together nicely. I’m still playing around with the look and feel of both the ‘found’ and ‘real movie’ footage, but this trailer represents where I think we’re heading in regards to both look and tone. I just wanted to give people a little taste. I expect the first cut to be done before the end of November; we’re already getting interest from some of the bigger distributors.” To keep up with the production, “I update my blog and MONSTERS IN THE WOODS Facebook page on an almost daily basis,” Horton adds.
