The Mad Monster Party convention delivers us evil March 23-25 at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. Meet Rutger Hauer (BLADE RUNNER, THE HITCHER), Brad Dourif (CHILD’S PLAY, EXORCIST III, LORD OF THE RINGS), Linda Blair (THE EXORCIST, SAVAGE STREETS), Angus Scrimm (PHANTASM) Ace Frehley (legendary Kiss guitarist), Rowdy Roddy Piper (wrestling legend, THEY LIVE), Richard Moll (HOUSE, NIGHT COURT) and William Katt (THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO, CARRIE), among over 35 celebrity guests.
Highlights also include Craig Sheffer and Anne Bobby making their first convention appearances for a special screening of Clive Barker’s three-hour director’s-cut workprint of NIGHTBREED. Girls and Corpses will host the Miss Horrorlina Bikini Pageant, Monsterpalooza will host the Mask Maker Contest, Mutantville.com will host a Mad Monster Film Fest and the Roadkill GOREage exhibit will feature iconic screen-used vehicles like Christine, the DUEL truck and the MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE Green Goblin head! Patty Mullen will make a rare convention appearance and do a limited FRANKENHOOKER photo op in full makeup and costume, while BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA’s James Hong will do a limited Lo Pan photo op and perform the Hong Horror Show in full makeup and costume; audience members can compete to perform opposite him!
