THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS has an enormous fan base, and it’s become one of the most iconic movies of our time, thanks to a ton in the way of merchandise. The latest, these new bookends from toy and collectible company NECA, offer you the chance to decorate your bookshelf with a couple of nice pieces of art from the movie featuring the characters Jack Skellington and Sally.

Both of the bookends are created from a plastic resin that is carefully painted to show some amazing detail in either scene. Jack Skellington is seen standing behind a gravestone holding a rose, while Sally is sitting upon a mound and holding a cat in her lap. The bookends measure approximately 5 1/2-inches tall x 4 3/4-inches wide x 3 1/2-inches long.

I would’ve liked to seen the bookends available during the month of October rather than November, so you could have used them for both Halloween and Christmas decorations. The real problem with this set—as seems to be the problem with most NECA bookends—however, is how the bookends don’t look as good from the side view. A good set of bookends should look good from any angle and be effective at holding books upright. They’re also a bit expensive with most places charging around $50 for the disappointing set. The NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS bookends will only be useful to people wishing to use them as decorative plates rather than their desired purpose.
