No lack of quality nor profit shall deter producers from Asian horror remakes. MonteCristo Pictures have announced an American redux of the South Korean chiller, APARTMENT 1303, which will come at you in what else, 3-D. 

Like the prehistoric man-eating fish in the movie, the trailer for PIRANHA 3-D has resurfaced—and this time it’s a much cleaner and clearer peek at the upcoming film.

“Oh please! By definition alone, sequels are inferior films!” But that’s not the reason why Jamie Kennedy’s Randy won’t be in the new SCREAM, as screenwriter-producer Kevin Williamson explains.

Fango spoke recently to the folks over at DVD company Synapse Films, who revealed that in addition to their exciting recent acquisition of a clutch of Hammer titles (see item here), they’re also planning new follow-ups to a couple of their popular collection discs. Synapse also has a boxed set on the way that’s sure to delight fans of German gore!

Vivendi Entertainment and RHI have a new vampire horror/comedy called BITTEN coming on DVD, starring Kevin Smith regular Jason Mewes (who previously ventured into the genre with FEAST, THE TRIPPER and NETHERBEAST INCORPORATED). The companies gave Fango a first look at the cover art for the disc, which streets July 6.

It’s ironic considering the series’ premise, but the FINAL DESTINATION franchise just won’t die. New Line is going ahead with FINAL DESTINATION 5, and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET co-writer Eric Heisserer is on board.

Ready or not, the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake is coming to theaters this Friday, April 30. Check out the latest clip from the Warner Bros./New Line release after the jump.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock with no Internet, chances are you’ve at least heard of TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL in passing. The premise seems empty at first: While fixing up a rundown cabin in the woods, the titular hillbillies are mistaken for psycho killers by some vacationing college kids. Nothing particularly new or exciting there—until you learn that our bumbling rednecks are played by none other than Alan Tudyk (FIREFLY, DOLLHOUSE) and REAPER’s Tyler Labine, who play hilariously well together.
