Indie distributor Music Box Films has established a genre banner called Doppelganger Releasing, which will launch with a new Aussie gore acquisition along with a title already announced.

If you’ve ever thought it might be fun to live out your favorite horror movie, MIMESIS is coming to DVD and Blu-ray, as well as selected big screens, to make you second-guess that idea. Read on for the details and art.

Looks like we’re going to have to wait a while longer for one of the most debated and anticipated remakes of 2013.

In continuing the story of poor Nell and her demon offspring, things will get even bendier.

Despite the distinct possibility of head explosion, Ryan Murphy wants you to find a clue in his macabre mosaic tonight.

Mondo's record label is kicking off the new year with THE DEADLY SPAWN.

The Holiday season happened upon us once again and things, did indeed, get weird.

The Criterion Collection, in their mission to lend proper treatment to significant cinema has always embraced genre landmarks and oddities; having released an incredible ROSEMARY’S BABY Blu-ray and the splendid WHEN HORROR CAME TO SHOCHIKU in recent months, alone. Their clue-ridden, 2013 teaser image has gone out and it would seem even more fantastic titles are on the way.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season and I'm looking forward to all that is going on for "Fangoria's Dreadtime Stories" in 2013. I have some exciting news to share: Our goal for 2013 is to turn this audio series into a live action weekly television series. To that end, Tom DeFeo and I, producer Kim Dawson and writer Max Allan Collins, are working with a top production partner about the venture.

In my 2011 best-of list, I discussed how it had not been a banner year for horror; I was especially critical of the studio releases. That year, I sought solace in TV shows to feed my genre lust, and my list was peppered with horror titles like DEXTER, THE WALKING DEAD, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, GRIMM and UGLY AMERICANS. This year, however, I was happy to find some stellar titles lurking in the feature world, a big improvement over 2011.

When I was about six years old, my parents took my brother and I to Disney World for the first time. At such a young age, I experienced a magic and awe that has no comparison. Walking through the park, going on the rides was like being in an amazing movie. I even got to meet Mickey Mouse in his dressing room after a show. The picture I took with him hung on my bedroom wall until I was fifteen. While we went back when I was ten and since I was an adult, I never thought the magic I experienced that first time could be matched again. That is, until I got to visit Tom Savini’s house.

It's the holiday week; humorous JOHN DIES AT THE END and Eli Roth diversions abound!
