We just received a box of Japanese sex cinema in the mail today; the fine folks over at Synapse Films/Impulse Pictures sent over copies of EROS SCHOOL: FEELS SO GOOD to give away to a few Fango fans. I was very intrigued to read on the cover that it was “one of the most offensive and controversial Nikkatsu films ever made”—so of course I had to give it a watch.

THE RIVER was my favorite TV show from last season. Honestly, I’m not even a passionate lover of found-footage works, but THE RIVER grabbed my attention and carried me along on a creepy riverboat trek in search of Dr. Emmet Cole. So I’m thrilled that ABC has sent over a few copies of THE RIVER: The Complete First Season on DVD for me to send out to a few lucky fans.

FANGORIA will host free screenings of acclaimed writer/director Rodrigo Cortés’ all-star supernatural thriller RED LIGHTS in both Los Angeles and New York City over the next two weeks. The LA show will be held this coming Monday, June 18 at Hollywood’s Arclight Cinemas (6360 West Sunset Boulevard) at 7:30 p.m. The Manhattan screening will take place on Tuesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. at the Cinema Village (22 East 12th Street, off University Place).
