On the heels of the announcement that Emma Roberts has joined the cast of Wes Craven’s SCREAM 4 (see item here), confirmation has come down about another young actress joining the Dimension slasher sequel’s cast.
Variety reports that (sorry, Sam) Hayden Panettiere has officially joined the ensemble of SCREAM 4, which begins rolling next month in Michigan. Panettiere is, of course, best known for her role as cheerleader Claire Bennet on NBC’s HEROES, who was virtually unkillable; we’ll see how she fares against Ghostface in Craven’s film. Rory Culkin is also one of the newcomers joining franchise veterans Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox in SCREAM 4, which was scripted by fellow returnee Kevin Williamson and is set for release April 15.
