What movie is so extreme that Amazon.com pulled it as a video-on-demand feature due to “explicit issues”? It’s GRAPHIC SEXUAL HORROR, the documentary by Barbara Bell and Anna Lorentzon that Synapse Films releases on DVD August 10. Synapse gave Fango a first look at the disc’s cover art as well as the full content details.

GRAPHIC SEXUAL HORROR covers the history of Insex.com, a website devoted to bondage and other sadomasochistic subjects established in 1997, which soon became one of the most popular and notorious sites of its kind. Eventually, it attracted the attention of the Department of Homeland Security, which shut it down. Bell and Lorentzon (the latter of whom was a producer for Insex.com) explore the site’s rise and fall via interviews with its creators and models, behind-the-scenes footage and scenes that are indeed graphic and shocking. Presented in anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen with Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo, the movie will be accompanied by:

• Deleted scenes

• “More from the Models”: Unused interview segments

• Interview with co-director Bell

• Theatrical trailer

Retail price is $24.95. For updates on the disc’s availability and more info on the movie, check out GRAPHIC SEXUAL HORROR’s official website here.
