Anchor Bay Films has acquired North American rights to Marcos Efron’s remake of Robert Fuest’s 1970 British chiller AND SOON THE DARKNESS. The new film stars Amber Heard (ZOMBIELAND), Odette Yustman (CLOVERFIELD), Karl Urban (PATHFINDER) and Adriana Barraza (DRAG ME TO HELL).

Screen Daily reports that Anchor Bay plans to release the film theatrically in the fall. The story centers on two girls whose bike tour through a remote part of Argentina becomes a terrifying ordeal after one of them goes missing.
