Nestled in the deep, dark, dangerous Toronto Dundas/Ossington strip is a grotty spot called Sex Laser. Yes…Sex Laser.
“It’s just as sketchy as it sounds…” says Larissa Thomas, who hosts and DJ’s her bloody brainchild FEAR STREET, a weekly booze drenched, blood splattered dance party where the best in horror score grooves. Thomas is a well known figure in underground comics. She’s a writer, cartoonist and general pop culture powerhouse who has channeled her love of horror and weird music into this awesome night. Sex Laser is suitably greasy with comfy sofas, cheap drinks and a cash only bar. The perfect venue for some solid, fun, sleazy thrills.
The event goes down every Wednesday 9:30 p.m.- 2 a.m. at Sex Laser (1369 Dundas St. W in the sexy/seedy west end).
