The culinary chiller BITTER FEAST was the first in the ongoing production pact between Dark Sky Films and Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix, and the former released a couple of photos with the news of the film’s premiere.
Written and directed by Joe Maggio, BITTER FEAST will debut at the Los Angeles Film Festival next month, as part of the genre-oriented The Beyond section. An exact screening date has yet to be announced; tickets go on sale June 1. James LeGros from Fessenden’s THE LAST WINTER stars as TV chef Peter Grey, who reacts to an especially negative review by kidnapping its author, J.T. Franks (THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT’s Joshua Leonard), and forcing him to undertake a series of cooking challenges, sadistically punishing him if he doesn’t get them exactly right. Famed real-life chef Mario Batali and Fessenden himself have co-starring roles. Look for more on BITTER FEAST as it gets closer to audience consumption.
