Highly anticipated genre films from Canada and the UK are poised to make their mark on the U.S., and Fango got the exclusive word on when to expect them.

IFC Films will release Brandon Cronenberg’s ANTIVIRAL on April 12, and Ben Wheatley’s SIGHTSEERS on May 10, with simultaneous VOD and limited theatrical release planned. ANTIVIRAL finds its director following in the footsteps of his father David Cronenberg, telling of a celebrity culture gone mad in which fans pay big bucks to take on the illnesses of their idols, while SIGHTSEERS stars its writers, Alice Lowe and Steve Oram, as a couple who take a deadly vacation in the British countryside (see review here).
