One of the more attention-getting genre titles at the recently concluded Tribeca Film Festival was the psychological chiller OPEN HOUSE, from first-time writer/director Andrew Paquin. Fango got the word on when you’ll be able to see it in your house, and the additional content that’ll come with it.
Brian Geraghty and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA’s Tricia Helfer star as David and Lila, a serial-killer couple who invade the home of Alice (Rachel Blanchard), who has put the place up for sale. Imprisoned in the basement, Alice attempts to manipulate the situation to save her own life. Andrew’s sister Anna Paquin co-stars, along with her TRUE BLOOD partner Stephen Moyer. Lionsgate Home Entertainment is currently slated to release the Grindstone Entertainment pickup August 3 on DVD and Blu-ray. The discs will feature anamorphic widescreen transfers with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio on the Blu-ray, plus the following special features:
• Audio commentary
• Deleted scenes
• Theatrical trailer
Retail price is $26.98 for the DVD, $29.99 for the Blu-ray; cover art is coming soon. See the red-band trailer below, and look for video interviews with Andrew Paquin, Geraghty and Blanchard on this site closer to the release.
