A pair of documentaries about a couple of very scary subjects have now been slated for theatrical and on-demand exposure.

Fango got the scoop on dates for Eric Walter’s MY AMITYVILLE HORROR (pictured) and Chris James Thompson’s THE JEFFREY DAHMER FILES, both coming from IFC Films under its IFC Midnight banner. MY AMITYVILLE HORROR, in which Daniel Lutz—the oldest son of the family who suffered the infamous haunting—reveals his side of the much-debated story for the first time, hits VOD and select theaters March 1, and premieres on the subscription VOD service SundanceNOW two weeks prior. See our rave review of the movie here. THE JEFFREY DAHMER FILES examines the infamous serial killer via exclusive interviews with those who knew him and investigated the case, plus re-enactments and vintage news footage; it premieres on VOD and in select theaters February 15. Look for a feature story on MY AMITYVILLE HORROR in Fango #321, on sale in February.
