Dead bodies everywhere! The contemporary prequel series to the Hitchcock classic is setting a murderous tone.
A&E's BATES MOTEL premieres this spring and on the heels of recent photos, two brief teasers are presenting evidence of some starkly violent events. The series "promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates' (Freddie Highmore) psyche unravels through his teenage years and just how deeply intricate his relationship to his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga), truly is."
Carlton Cuse, of LOST fame, is showrunning. In addition to the below peeks, a site has opened with a gallery of photos, character bios and a Bates Motel sign whose volume you seemingly can't turn off. New characters include Emma Decody (Olivia Cooke), a cystic-fibrosis suffering student who looks to form a bond with Norman, and Dylan Massett (Max Thieriot), Norman's half brother.
