With stellar Blus of HALLOWEEN II & III already available, Scream Factory's upcoming slate (which includes THE FUNHOUSE, DEADLY BLESSING and PHANTASM II) just got wild, with a pair of Charles B. Pierce (THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK) films currently unavailable on DVD.

Scream Factory (Shout! Factory's brand new horror label) announced via Facebook today they'd be bringing the long-awaited THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN, along with Pierce's THE EVICTORS to DVD and Blu.

"Surprise!! We have TWO movies to reveal for you today!. At long last, THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN (1976) and THE EVICTORS (1979) - both from the same Director - are finally coming out. Check back with us next Fri for another release scoop. And keep checking back with us regularly for more release specific details on THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN and THE EVICTORS. Happy Friday!"

A thoroughly odd docudrama based on a series of murders around Texarkana in 1946, Pierce's account of the Phantom Killer toggles between severe dread and offbeat comedy. It's a strange, unnerving film, with a killer ending and many film fans will be elated by the news.

THE EVICTORS, meanwhile stars SUSPIRIA's Jessica Harper and veteran Michael Parks as a couple terrorized shortly after moving into a farmhouse.

Scream Factory didn't specify release dates, but keep an eye on Fango for more.
