It’s a good morning for undead exclusives; following our FROST BITE trailer comes word of a new flesheater fantasia simply titled EAT, whose writer/director, Jason Horton, gave us the first look at a promo trailer and a few messy pics from that shoot.

Horton, whose creature feature MONSTERS IN THE WOODS hit DVD this summer and who has the kidnapping thriller TRAP out on disc next week, tells us, “EAT follows a dysfunctional family as they try to pick up the pieces during a zombie apocalypse. They stop in a rural junkyard to repair their car, and find themselves besieged by hordes of the undead and human scavengers. The movie definitely has a little DAY OF THE DEAD and MAD MAX in its DNA. It’s larger in scope than any of my previous work, and I’m super-excited to unleash this one on the world.”

Horton will put EAT before the cameras during two rounds of shooting in November and January. Ashton Blanchard, Annemarie Pazmino and Allen Perada will star. You can keep up with the project at its Facebook page.
