Having already collaborated on the upcoming killer-clown movie STITCHES, Dark Sky Films and Ireland’s Fantastic Films have struck a deal to make three more horror features together.

The companies have announced that the pact will span two years and begin with THE CHERRY TREE, the latest project by David Keating, whose Hammer/Fantastic Films production WAKE WOOD (pictured) was released Stateside by Dark Sky. THE CHERRY TREE, which Keating discusses in detail with us here, will go before the cameras at the end of this year. “Fantastic Films have amazing taste and a great understanding of genre filmmaking,” says Dark Sky’s Greg Newman, “and we look forward to our collaboration with them. Together, we make an incredibly strong development and production team, and are very like-minded about the type of films and filmmakers we intend to work with. There are several amazing projects on the horizon and we look forward to jumping in immediately.” Adds Fantastic Films’ John McDonnell, “We couldn’t be happier with the success MPI has had with our films and we expect the winning streak to continue.”
