THE LAST EXORCISM, from director Daniel Stamm and producer Eli Roth, is set to hit theaters August 27 (where it will go head-to-head with Alexandre Aja’s PIRANHA 3-D). But before the movie makes it to multiplexes, it'll have its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Shock Til You Drop reports that the Lionsgate picture will screen at the festival, which takes place June 17-27. The world premiere will be an outdoors screening at the Ford Amphitheater. Click here to visit the festival’s official site.

Scripted by Huck Botko and Andrew Gurland, THE LAST EXORCISM is a vérité-style study of a duplicitous man of the cloth who thinks he’s staging his final sham ritual for a documentary crew, but discovers the girl in question truly is possessed. The movie stars Patrick Fabian and Ashley Bell.
