Currently oozing its way across the festival circuit and set for release in November, CELL COUNT is an independent sci-fi horror film about medical treatments gone awry. We’ve got a few exclusive pics and a clip to share with you.

Written and directed by Todd E. Freeman, CELL COUNT is set in an around an experimental facility where Russell Carpenter (Robert McKeehen) reluctantly brings his wife Sadie (Haley Talbot), who is suffering from a life-threatening disease. Unfortunately, the cure proves to be worse than the illness for her and six others who become locked in the prison-like building. The cast also includes Sean McGrath, Eric Martin Reid, Adrienne Vogel, John Breen and Daniel Baldwin; Ravenous Studios created the creature and blood FX, with THE DIVIDING HOUR’s Mike Prosser on digital FX.

Having world-premiered at Brazil’s Fantaspoa Film Festival earlier this year and just played Mexico’s Macabro Film Festival, CELL COUNT will soon be part of Spain’s Sitges Film Festival, Sheffield, England’s Celluloid Screams and Buenos Aires’ Rojo Sangre Film Festival, and has its Canadian premiere next month at Montreal’s Horrorfest (see item here). It has also been picked up by FilmBuff for digital distribution beginning November 13 on digital platforms including iTunes, PlayStation, Xbox, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, CinemaNow and VUDU.
